Christ Methodist Day School seeks an Assistant Director for the after-school and summer camp programs: AOK@CMDS and Summer@CMDS. The AOK@CMDS, Summer@CMDS Assistant Director is responsible for carrying out all administrative components of the after-school program, including attendance, payroll and other reporting; communicating with parents; overseeing staff; ordering supplies; maintaining files; and providing other logistical support to the After School Director as needed. This individual must be comfortable building relationships with school administrators, educators, community members, and parents to best support the needs of the program participants.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and implement academic and enrichment programs for elementary school-aged children

Maintain confidentiality

Effectively oversee and train employees

Modify plans and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Actively participate in training and meetings

Work simultaneously on big-picture projects as well as day-to-day small operational details

Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications

Minimum, High School Diploma; Bachelors preferred

Minimum three years of experience working with youth in a school or after-school setting OR minimum two years of experience working in a summer camp setting

Administrative/management experience preferred

Strong organizational and administration skills

Characteristics of leadership, responsibility, patience, dependability, maturity, integrity, positivity, motivation and enthusiasm

Proficiency in the use of computer technology and the Internet, including Google Suites
