We are eager to present the new Recruiting Director of Teach901, Taylor Cao, to the local teaching community. Taylor joins us with a rich history in a range of educational roles and an ingrained passion for improving the educational landscape in Memphis.
Taylor’s drive to lead Teach901 comes from his ambition to form a unifying institution for the thousands of educators in Memphis. Taylor noted,
"The motivation to lead Teach901 comes from the ability to support and nurture a positive teaching community in Memphis. With thousands of educators in Memphis, the absence of a single uniting organization is evident. I envision Teach901 to be that unifying institution."
His strategy for Teach901 is influenced by his broad teaching background, using the airplane oxygen mask metaphor to highlight the necessity of self-care for educators to avoid fatigue and burnout. In his words, “My approach with Teach901 is to provide a support system for teachers and education professionals. A failure to care for them means a failure to care for our children.”
Taylor has outlined three key goals for Teach901:
- Expand the Teach901 campaign’s presence in Memphis to ensure widespread awareness of our support for educators and how they can reciprocate.
- Diversify our offerings to make the Teach901 website an encompassing resource hub for all educators in Memphis.
- Foster a positive, professional community, acknowledging the difficulties of working in schools and the need for a robust community support system.
We are delighted to welcome Taylor Cao, as he steers Teach901 into a new era. Let’s support his vision for a flourishing educational community in Memphis.
