Job Board

Applying to Jobs

When you find a job that you would like to apply to, click the “Apply for job” button and a pop up to complete you application will appear.

There are a couple ways to apply on Teach901: Uploading your resume as a file or creating an online resume.

  • If you don’t want to create an online resume, only fill out the top part and upload your resume. Then click “Send application” to offically apply for the job.

  • If you want to apply with an online resume, click “Submit Resume & Apply” instead of uploading your resume file. In the case that you don’t have an online resume yet, it will auto take you to a screen to create your resume. Then you will be able to officially apply with it.

Online Resume

Create an Online Resume

There are two ways to create an online resume: through the job posting (see above information on this) or through your Candidate Dashboard.

Your Candidate Dashboard has a link at the bottom left for you to “Add Resume“.

Manage Exiting Resumes

On your Candidate Dashboard, you will be able to view all your current resumes and edit/manage them.

If you hover over a resume, you will see options appear:

  • Edit: Adjust any of the content on your resume
  • Hide: Save, but don’t display as one of your resume options. Any hidden resumes will be greyed out on your dashboard. If you want to bring it back into your list of resume options, rehover over it to click “Publish”.
  • Delete: Remove entirely from your list of resumes.

Job Alerts

Adding a Job Alert

You can set up job alerts to get emails about similar jobs. One way to set up a job alert is to click on the “Alert me to jobs like this” under the “Apply for job” button on a job posting.

Once you click on that link from a job posting, it will take you to a page to finish setting up your job alert. (Note: It will auto fill some of the fields in from the job postings.)

One key thing to check before saving the alert is the email frequency. You have the option to receive Daily, Weekly, Every 2 Weeks (Fortnightly), and Monthly.

Once you click “Save Alert,” you will be able to adjust the settings from your Job Alert page.

Managing Job Alerts

From your job alerts page, you will be able to see a list of all the current job alerts you have set up. You will also be able to make any needed adjustments to your alerts or delete them.

If you hover over any of your job alerts, you wil see some options appear under the title.

Results

By clicking “Results,” you will see a page of all of the jobs that are currently active that match your job alert settings (name of job, keywords, tags, location).

Send Now

By clicking “Send Now,” it will immediately send you an email with your job alert results.

Edit

By clicking “Edit,” you will be able to adjust any of the job alert settings:

  • Alert Name
  • Keyword
  • Job Region
  • Tags
  • Email Frequency

Disable / Enable

By clicking “Disable,” it will keep you current settings but turn off the alert. Any job alert that you disable will be greyed out on your Job Alerts page.

You can enable any of the job alerts you disable by hovering over them and clicking “Enable”.

Bookmark Jobs

If you want to bookmark a job you are interested in, you have the option to do so on the right sidebar when clicking into a job posting.

By clicking on the “Bookmark This Job” option, you will have a Notes section appear. You can add in notes about the job and revisit them by clicking on this same bookmark section in the job posting.

If you have any jobs bookmarked, you will see a yellow bookmark icon appear on those jobs in the job board.

If you need to remove the bookmark, hover over the “This Job is bookmarked!” message and a “Remove Bookmark” option will appear.
