Man Up: Praxis Academy

WHAT IS PRAXIS ACADEMY?

Praxis Academy was developed in partnership with ETS to support aspiring teachers to pass the Praxis exam. Praxis Academy is an umbrella program of Man Up Teacher Fellowship. Our Praxis Academy program provides the following:

• Monthly sessions are designed to help teacher candidates pass the Praxis exam
• Sessions that are taught by experienced content specialists who are ETS trained
• Hands-on practice and support to successfully pass the Praxis exam

WHO CAN APPLY FOR PRAXIS ACADEMY?

While Man Up Teacher Fellowship is for men of color, Praxis Academy applications are open to all aspiring teachers who need to be equipped with the tools to pass the Praxis exams. Any individual who needs support to pass the Praxis can apply to attend Praxis Academy.

WHY PRAXIS ACADEMY?

Approximately 62% of Black teacher candidates and 43% of Hispanic teacher candidates do not qualify for a standard teaching license because they cannot pass the Praxis exam. Our goal is to equip aspiring teachers with the tools needed to study for, and pass their Praxis exams.
