Job Title: Aftercare Teacher
Reports To: Director of Early Childhood Services
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
Under the direction of the Director of Early Childhood Services, the position will be responsible for providing daily aftercare and provide classroom coverage as needed.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required. Experience with children in a childcare setting preferred.
Licensure:
Tennessee driver’s license.
Principle Responsibilities:
-Provide classroom support in absence of a teacher.
-Assist in the distribution of snacks to children.
-Clean the facilities for the safe preparation of food and healthy environment for children.
-Attendance appropriate for position at Hope House.
-Follow all Hope House rules of classroom etiquette.
-Encourage social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth.
-Follow Hope House’s Behavior Plan prescribed for the child.
– Provide all bathroom, meal service and other needs of the children in an
appropriate, timely manner.
-Attend classes and workshops applicable to area.
-Fulfills all other responsibilities necessary for the operation of Hope House
Compensation
$15/hour
