Position Summary:
The Director of Culture position shapes and sustains Grizzlies Prep’s distinctive culture and ensures that the students internalize the school’s values. In partnership with the School Director and the school leadership team, the Director of Culture structures and implements a comprehensive, school-wide behavior management and culture system, including overseeing all documentation and required follow-up.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates cultural glows and grows for each grade. For grows, comes to meetings with action steps.
- Shows how instructors are positively responding to personalized plans put in place to help address growth areas.
- Reviews cultural analysis sent by team leads that include buckets to turnovers ratio; positive vs. negative parent phone calls per instructor.
- Gives feedback to team leads ensuring that kickboard and the discipline system is being implemented.
- Tracks detentions by student, by grade, and by percentage of students.
- Is proactive in reaching out to parents if students are not meeting behavioral expectations or are showing truancy issues and documents all parent contacts in kickboard.
- Issues and correctly documents any suspensions or expulsions in SMS.
- Exhibits proactive communications with school director on issues relating to attendance, parents contacts or conversations, detention rates, and suspension rates.
- Generates and sends out detention letters to all families and monitors completion of process.
- Publicly and privately celebrates instructors and students.
- Tracks ties, expulsions, suspensions, behavioral plans, and attendance/truancy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of classroom teaching or school administration.

- Strong systems thinking knowledge and abilities including setting achievable goals and creating and implementing a plan to meet goals, garnering support from and working with all stakeholders, and dealing effectively with resistance.
