Early Childhood Assistant Teacher

Hutchison School, a PK2-12 school for girls, seeks a full-time Early Childhood assistant teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. Early Childhood assistant teachers are responsible for supporting core instruction of approximately 13 students per class. The candidate should have a passion for developing young learners through play and exploration, the ability to create a culturally responsive classroom environment and possess a deep understanding and love for children in this stage of development.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of a similar age and preferably in a classroom setting. Candidates must be comfortable teaching girls in a student-centered environment. Previous training in the Reggio Emilia method or play-based learning is preferred. Assistant Teachers must be 21 years of age and hold a Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degrees and early childhood education majors are preferred. Candidates must be passionate about the equitable development of young girls.
