ASSISTANT TEACHER – EARLY CHILDHOOD (PK3 & JK4)
Reports To School Director
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a love for God and His children
- Have a shared dedication to the unique mission of NHCA
- Demonstrate excellence in a co-teaching classroom model
- Holds high expectations for every student and faithfully works to foster student development and achievement
- Possess knowledge of play-based learning and oral-language development
- Possess competence in the workshop and rotation model
- Deliver focused small group instruction (Math/RLA, etc.)
- Possess and demonstrate knowledge of social and emotional development in early childhood
- Possess a strong content knowledge of emerging literacy and numeracy
- Display knowledge of differentiated learning strategies with an emphasis on math and reading instruction to ensure academic success for all students
- Demonstrate a commitment of utilizing higher-order questioning and thinking strategies with students
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong background in early childhood instruction
- At least two (2) years of relevant teaching experience (preferred)
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position
