KIPP Memphis is seeking dedicated and passionate Certified Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a Certified Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of instruction and providing a supportive learning environment for our students. You will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities:
Implement lesson plans and instructional activities as directed by the absent teacher.
Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
Manage student behavior and address any disciplinary issues according to school policies.
Provide individualized support to students as needed.
Communicate effectively with school staff and the absent teacher regarding student progress and classroom events.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in the classroom.
Requirements:
Valid Tennessee Practitioner Teacher License or Tennessee Professional License (Required)
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university (Required)
