St. George’s Independent School seeks a passionate, entrepreneurial, and hard-working individual who is energized by enrollment management work with families to serve as an Assistant Director of Admission, beginning June – August, 2023.

Duration: Annual Letter of Agreement

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required; two years of paid professional experience required; knowledge of independent school or collegiate admissions preferred.

The successful candidate will possess skills and experience that would include the ability to:

·         collaborate in larger school-wide strategic design and implementation of the plans to attract, admit, yield, and retain qualified students for St George’s;

·         warmly and knowledgeably welcome and engage with prospective families in person, on the telephone, and in written communication in a way that increases the family’s connectivity with the School to increase inquiries, school visits, applications, and enrollment;

·         seek out and visit city influencers and connectors in person to share the story of St. George’s to expand the applicant pool for mission-aligned families;

·         possess and infectious enthusiasm for St. George’s Independent School and be poised for working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where innovation, resourcefulness, and new ideas are prized, along with collaboration, teamwork, and good humor;

·         work well and collaborate with our team; personal initiative and the ability to plan, organize, and oversee projects and processes independently and collaboratively;

·         ensure the quality and success of family visits to the school including our open houses, neighborhood receptions, Student Ambassadors, Parent Ambassadors, Gryphon-For-A-Day, and orientation programs;

·         chair the campus specific admission committee and facilitate thorough and expedient evaluation of applicant files;

·         collaborate with our teaching and leadership teams to ensure high rates of retention of current students who are capable of remaining in our program;

·         develop and sustain professional relationships with feeder schools and programs to educate about the school’s value proposition and drive admission interest in the school;

·         have comfort and facility with various applicant assessment instruments used to help evaluate applicants. Familiarity and knowledge of other supplemental psychological assessments, intelligence assessments, and other confidential reports is preferred;

·         share an excellent public speaking and communication skillset in representing the School in small and large group settings;

·         travel to off campus events and occasionally travel between three campus locations;

·         the ability to utilize key communication devices such as Google products, electronic communications, paper communications, extended telephone usage, and admission data in a relational database;

·         serve as a member of the Memphis Campus administrative team

·         other duties as assigned by the Enrollment Management Team and Campus Director.

 

Physical Requirements:    Regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear, and to interact with campus visitors as well as others who telephone. Must have the ability to understand and present materials and communicate with constituents and co-workers in a harmonious manner.
