Compass Community Schools is seeking a dedicated bilingual (English and Spanish) school operations manager at our Orange Mound campus for the 2023-2024 school year.

Ops Team Pay & Perks:
Intentionally small school settings – Orange Mound has only about 200 students in total, and one class per grade (about 25 students max)!

Operations Manager Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Bilingual (English and Spanish) for both written and oral communications
PREFERRED: Bachelor’s degree, or at least 3 years of related work experience in school operations
Affinity with, and passion for, the compelling vision of Compass Community Schools
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build productive relationships with students and colleagues
Desire to work hard in a balanced, extended school calendar
Utmost personal and professional integrity

Operations Manager Primary Responsibilities:
COMPLIANCE: Ensuring compliance for all local, state and federal mandates, with duties including, but not limited to File Audits & Student Information and ensuring confidentiality and security of main office space, student medical records, and all other information pertaining to students, parents and staff
VENDOR ACCOUNTABILITY: Ensure that on-site vendors (including, but not limited to, janitorial service provider, nursing service provider, food service provider) are providing appropriate daily service (i.e., tracking timeliness of service), and report any contract deficiencies to the Chief Operating Officer
EVENT MANAGEMENT: Ensuring that all school events are prepared for excellence in execution, helping to plan, organize and staff school events, such as parent nights, field trips, testing and assemblies
BUDGEING & PROCUREMENT: Ensuring that school staff has access to materials and supplies they need to effectively instruct students, including managing the purchasing process, and working with vendors to ensure delivery
REPORTING PROCESS: Ensuring teacher submission of grade data for progress reports and report cards, and supporting the Principal in conducting audits of teacher gradebooks prior to progress report and report card distribution
STUDENT REGISTRATION: Facilitate the student enrollment and registration process, including supporting student recruitment and outreach activities
