Education Savings Account Coordinator & Family Engagement Specialist
The Collegiate School of Memphis is an independent, college preparatory school, providing both middle and high school scholars with the highest quality education within a structured and caring environment so that each scholar may fully realize their God-given potential. Our mission is to prepare young ladies and gentlemen for college success within a highly structured, nurturing, Christian environment. During the 2024-25 school year, Collegiate will serve about 365 students in grades 6-12.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related experience.
Experience in business setting preferred
Strong interest in high-performing equitable education
Strong interest in working with diverse populations and social justice
Bilingual (Professional-level competency in spoken and written English and Spanish required)
Responsibilities (ESA Coordinator)
Oversee and manage student records for the TN Education Savings Account (ESA) Program.
Responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of the Education Savings Account (ESA) Program by managing applications, invoicing, renewal and program compliance according to the regulations set by the Tennessee Department of Education.
Works with families throughout the application process to ensure that applications are accurately completed in a timely manner according to state-issued deadlines
Monitors school compliance in pursuant to Tennessee state educational laws related to the ESA program.
Oversees compliance and execution of required state testing activities.
Develops and completes special projects as needed
Responsibilities (Family Engagement Specialist)
Support and engage with our families as the Family Engagement Specialist.
Serves as an advocate for students and families and as a liaison between families and appropriate agencies which can provide services to those in need of additional assistance.
Seeks and secures available resources within the community that will meet the needs of students and families.
Identifies opportunities for and encourages parents’ participation as volunteers at school events.
Attends training, meetings, seminars and/or workshops to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
