Beacon College Prep opened in 2020 with two kindergarten and one first-grade class in the Raleigh area of Memphis. Beacon College Prep is seeking a Parttime Academic Literacy Interventionist who can direct the academic program activities of K-4 scholars.
Job Responsibilities:
- Per Title I, academic and behavioral Intervention strategies are necessary to support a scholar’s academic success and social progression.
- Experience with the development of differentiated academic exercises and class activities.
- Will support literacy instruction by working with small groups, using digital and print resources, and making data-based decisions. Additional resources will be provided by academic and RTI grouping.
- Concentrates efforts with small groups of scholars and individuals, as necessary.
- Compiles prepares, and organizes materials and classrooms for instruction and other learning activities.
- Assists teachers with academic instruction, transitions, and the instruction of daily routines, skills, and concepts as needed.
- Provides instructional support and reinforcement to scholars who need tutoring services and RTI intervention and supports the RTI fidelity monitoring and related data and systems.
Job Qualifications:
- By the time of employment, a Bachelor’s degree is required
- Valid State Certification is highly preferred, but not required
- Experience in an urban public school is preferred, but not required
Salary & Benefits: Salary range $30,000 – $34,000. This position is not eligible for health benefits. Our staff members are provided a laptop computer, email, high-speed internet access, and all necessary instructional supplies. Beacon is also committed to offering professional development opportunities.
Start Date: This is a 10-month position, starting in July 2023.
